Discover Your Passions!

Three days in and what a better time to consciously giving name to our life passions. Sure, you know your interests and what you are good at, but have you really dug deep into discovering your life’s passions and aspirations?!  Can you put into words what you truly want?

Today, we’ll be using a technique from the wonderful book, The Passion Test, to collect, organize, prioritize, and realize our passions.  The biggest lesson to learn from today is this:

“When you are clear, what you want will show up in your life, and only to the extent you are clear.”

The opposite of this statement would be: “Fuzzy desires give fuzzy results”.  It’s amazing the results we get when we are clear to ourselves on what we want from life.  This is today’s goal; get clear on our most valued passions!  Then and only then can you watch as your passions are realized over time!

When we align ourselves with our passions, with clear outcomes, and establish clear goals, the universe has no chance but to align with you.

Your Task

Make sure you do this task today because we are going to build off of it over the next two days!

TASK:  Spend at least one uninterrupted session (20 minutes or so) today and create a list of all your passions.  Be as specific as possible.  Write them all starting with “When my life is ideal, I am _______’

Examples:

  • When my life is ideal, I am married and have 4 children.
  • When my life is ideal, I am writing successful novels and inspirational books.
  • When my life is ideal, I am enjoying perfect health with lots of energy, stamina, and vitality.
  • When my life is ideal, I am enjoying myself with everything I do.
  • When my life is ideal, I am having a positive impact on millions of people.
  • When my life is ideal, I am a multimillionaire.
  • When my life is ideal, I am creating my own music.
  • When my life is ideal, I am having very close relationships.
  • When my life is ideal, I am…

Your turn!

REMEMBER:

  • You are writing your passions, NOT your goals! A passion is how you want to live your life, a goal is something you aim to achieve. Both are valuable, but the first step is getting clear on your passions!
  • Rules – Don’t consult with anyone (including your couple). Take the test in one sitting – 20-30 minutes. Take the test in a quiet environment without distractions.
  • You will get out as much value as you put in.  Put some thought into it!

Have fun!
